Never in the history of man, did a nation demand so much of a single weapon of war as America demanded of the B-17. This famous Bomber of WWII had a gross weight of 32 tons, 10 crew members, and a gasoline capacity of 3,000 gallons. The length is 75 feet, with a wing span of 105 feet. The original cost was approx $5,000,000.00.
The scene you see here was the vision and creation of Art Lacey, owner-operator.
This B-17 is placed here in memory of the men and women who served so valiantly during WWII and to the passing era of the propeller driven airplane.
