Douglas C-9B USMC

U.S. MARINE CORPS C-9B
The C-9B is the U.S. Marine Corps version of the Douglas DC-9 which has over 7 million hours of highly reliable service. The C-9B is a convertible cargo/passenger aircraft equipped with long-range fuel tanks and a 10-track cargo handling system which can handle eight 88- by 108-inch military pallets. It can deliver up to 32,294 pounds of cargo, or 107 passengers. For a mixed load, cargo is carried in the forward section and 45 passengers are seated in the rear. Its high-lift system and Mark IlIA antiskid system result in excellent takeoff and landing characteristics.
